Eynesbury is situated 40 minutes west of Melbourne CBD and lies between fast-growing cities Melton to the north and Werribee to the south. It is also surrounded by the environmentally protected 288-hectare Grey Box Forest.

Eynesbury Golf Course

Rated in the Top 100 Australian Golf Courses, the 18-hole Eynesbury Golf course, designed by Graham Marsh, is set against an historic and beautiful backdrop. Featuring wide fairways, extensive bunkering, water hazards and several creeks, it really is an amazing course to play.

Imagine playing a relaxing game of golf with your friends on the weekend, then enjoying a meal and drink at Ms Peacock Restaurant and Bar, or a coffee at the Birdy & Co Café. Alternatively, just chilling and enjoying the magnificent landscape is also a great option. Whatever you choose to do, the beauty and lushness of the Eynesbury golf course affords a unique view of the community with many options for eating, drinking and relaxing.

Eynesbury Homestead

The grand Eynesbury Homestead provides a window to Australia’s rich pastoral past. Neighbouring the golf course, this 150-year-old homestead has been lovingly and faithfully restored, featuring high ceilings, fireplaces, and beautifully landscaped gardens. There are also many other heritage-listed buildings nearby, such as the old bluestone stables that are now the Golf Pro Shop.

The Homestead is the heart of Eynesbury and is a destination in itself. Here, residents and visitors meet to relax, celebrate and enjoy a meal amongst friends. It features a fully functioning restaurant and bar and a café and in its own right, attracts visitors from both near and far.

Eynesbury market, festivals, and events

Eynesbury is all about fostering an engaged, active and connected community. There are regular farmer’s markets on the last Sunday of every month, Winter and Summer festivals with a full schedule of activities and events, weekly Park Runs and Australia Day parties to name a few.

There’s also a Men’s Shed, the local CFA, mother’s groups and many other community groups that the locals enjoy taking part in on a regular basis. New members are always welcome too!

Grey Box Forest

Eynesbury has four environmentally significant areas protected under the Planning Act. One of these is the Grey Box Forest – a 288-hectare, rich habitat with an abundance of birds and native animals.

There are plenty of tracks in the forest to walk, ride or run. It’s a great place to explore or simply get away from it all and experience the relaxing sights and sounds.

Other environmentally-protected areas of significance are the Native Grassland Reserve, the Werribee River Gorge and the 10-hectare Greenhill Conservation, all of which are located within Eynesbury.

Childcare, Primary and Senior schools in Eynesbury

Eynesbury has it all when it comes to education. From accredited childcare facilities, to the Eynesbury Kindergarten and brand new government primary school for prep to grade 6 students. There are also plans for a government-run secondary school in the future too.

Alternatively, there are several privately run local schools and universities in nearby areas.
